• Earlier this year I finished the first draft of a horror novel, set in the North of England, with Lovecraftian undertones, called The Return. This is a very grim, very dark novel.
  
 
• I am just over halfway into the first draft of a crime novel called George and Glenda.

The Lurkers in the Abyss
"The Lurkers in the Abyss is by the sometimes brilliant David A Riley. The Lovecraftian title points the direction of this story, though any connection with the Cthulhu Mythos here is only tentative. Late at night, a man pursued by a gang of youths seeks shelter in a crumbling tenement building. The setting of deserted city back-streets and the tenement itself, walls bulging with fungi, is worthy of Barker or Campbell. A good early story by this writer which was way ahead of its time." - A Haunted Dolls House
