Please read full description. This limited edition book has been printed on English hand-made paper. This book is the result of 15 years of research. 148 bright, clean pages of descriptive text.52 plates. 4 of which are tipped-in colour plates. Some damage has occured (probably damp) between plate 46 and 47. These plates face each other. They were stuck together but someone has separated them resulting in a triangular shaped loss of 1/4inch reaching to a point of 1 inch. This is on the white border of the plate and does not affect the plate. Plate 46 and 47 - an area of roughly one inch x one inch has been rubbed from plate 46 and is stuck to plate 47. This could be carefully removed from plate 47. Plate 45 - the reverse side of plate 46 is complete but where the damage has occured overleaf, plate 45 has a closed tear. This is to the edge of the plate. Plates 50 and 51 are stuck together at the inner edge. The paintings on these plates can be seen almost in full, but need careful separation. The rest of the paintings - 47 plates - are undamaged and are bright and clean. The book has a pale blue jacket with a small sign of foxing and some wear to the top of the spine.The book has deep blue cloth boards with gilt title to the cover in excellent condition.
