	1	Georges Simenon Chez Krull Great Britain Four Square Science Fiction 1958 Reprint 1966 Mass Market Paperback Very Good Crime A vintage paperback.........They were Germans and they had lived in France since shortly after the First World War. They lived by a canal, and tried not to be Germans, but assimilated by the French, who gave them their living. They were left in peace. Then came Hans, a political refugee from Germany, their cousin. Hans, who was cruel, bright and qick witted, who took what he wanted and made trouble, and brought tragedy on the Krulls. A girl was found on the canal bank. Not a good girl, but she had been strangled and she was French, and the Germans were suspected. ........Chez Krull is really a story of mob hatred that arises from murder, told as only Simenon can tell his stories. .........This book is showing some edge wear, and there is a closed tear at the base and top of the spine. There is a minor surface crease to the front and the pages are browning slightly . The spine is firm, as are the pages. A rather savage picture to the cover showing a girl being strangled, and is a quite 'graphic 'photo-pic. Blue covers, price marked 3/6d. Price: 5.00 GBP

Very clean and bright with no edgewear. Slight lean to spine. Inscription to previous owner to top of inside front cover neatly written in ink.Some light brown shading to opening and closing pages where the edge of the dustjacket touched them, otherwise all of the pages are clean and white. The dustjacket is very clean and bright with only the very lightest of edgewear to the top. Price clipped, presumably because this was given as a present (inscription reads " To John, Christmas 1961"). 159 pages. A very nice copy of this book, with a colourful and evocative cover depicting the French Rivera. Price: 38.00 GBP
