The author's has always been involved in amateur dramatics, both as actor and director, and many of his productions have emerged as festival winners. For four years he was the Secretary and Festival Organizer of the Croydon Drama Festival, and was currently Vice President of the S. Philips Players, Norbury, and President of the Norbury and Thornton Heath Drama Association. The author of several book, including the acclaimed Author's Guide to Publishing, Michael Legat lived in Haywards Heath.
