Binding is green cloth with gilt lettering on the spine; 187 pages. A neatly written inscription to a previous owner on the back of the title page, otherwise internally bright and clean. Dj has some mild edgewear and some rubbing down the edges of the spine. Here is the saga of a medical mission which began in an amateur dispensary in a bathroom in Nagercoil, India, in 1893. The twenty-year-old pioneer had already been moved by the dirt, poverty and pain all around him. Since then the medical services of The Salvation Army have spread throughout the world and deal with over a million patients every year.
